I like to use oven-roasted bacon for this sandwich because it stays flatter, which is nice for layering into sandwiches. And it’s easy to make: Lay desired number of slices of bacon out flat on a baking sheet. Optional: Sprinkle with cracked black pepper. Bake in a 400 F oven for 20 minutes, until well-browned and crispy. Use tongs to move slices of cooked bacon onto a plate lined with a paper towel.
