Sharon from Cedar Rapids first got me into making compound butter with garlic. The recipe here is very similar to the one she shared with me years ago and is today still one of my favorite garlic recipes!
Pulse the garlic in a food processor until roughly chopped. Add the room-temperature butter, parsley, and olive oil and process until the mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Cut open the loaf of bread lengthwise, spread the herb-garlic mixture over both halves, and bake for 15 minutes, until butter is melted and bread is toasted. Enjoy!
