At Pickle Creek, we create the Genovese Basil & Roma Tomato Olive Oil using sweet Italian basil and rich Roma tomatoes harvested fresh from our garden. Also known as Bruschetta in a Bottle, it tastes like summer in Tuscany and is our favorite Pickle Creek olive oil for pastas and homemade pasta sauces. It’s also our go-to olive oil for Caprese and other summer salads. We like to drizzle it over vegetables such as green beans, broccoli, and sweet corn. And it’s amazing for sauteing, grilling or roasting chicken or shrimp.
The fresh basil and subtle tomato flavors makes the Genovese Basil & Roma Tomato Olive Oil perfect for egg dishes, such as simple scrambled eggs or vegetable quiches. It’s also a longtime favorite for making grilled cheese sandwiches, especially if you add in a slice of fresh tomato. Here are some of our favorite recipes for the Genovese Basil & Roma Tomato Olive Oil . . . . Happy Eating!
